In today's column, I preview the top 13 on "American Idol," springing off from Simon Cowell's line from the wildcard show about how they tried to cast the season. I also try to handicap the field, but considering how adamant I was about the inevitability of David Archuleta a year ago, I wouldn't go placing any wagers off of my picks.
