Slow Horses recap, Season 5, Episode 6: 'Scars'
Slough Houses races to stop the Libyans, and Lamb gets a chance to put his feet up
A review of the Slow Horses season finale, "Scars" — with spoilers — coming up just as soon as I reach for the words of Dominic Toretto in Furious 7...
Let's talk about Jackson Lamb's feet.
No, you haven't accidentally clicked on a fetish site. We need to talk about Lamb's feet in the context of what motivates the main character of Slow Horses, and what makes this show great.

You will recall that, when the dogs had locked down Slough House a few episodes back, Lamb told a story about an agent he knew who was tortured by the Stasi, then watched helplessly as they then tortured and eventually killed his pregnant girlfriend. The spy's own torture, Lamb explained, included burning off the soles of his feet. After the Slow Horses escape to the street, Catherine asks Lamb if the story was really about him. He scoffs at her and insists that he made the whole thing up as a means of telling the others how to overpower the dogs and get out.
