It's Monday, which means it's time for another episode of the TV Is Good podcast, where Kathryn VanArendonk and I look at notable television shows from the present and the past. In this week's episode, Kathryn and I do a deep dive into The Bear, from its explosion onto the scene in 2022 through this week's final season — with spoiler warnings before we get there.

Then, we have our first guest, in the form of Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed star Tatiana Maslany. Kathryn and I want to periodically have guest stars on — whether famous actors like Maslany, showrunners, fellow critics, friends, etc. — to talk about the TV that they love. While I was interviewing Tatiana in Austin for a piece that will run closer to the Maximum Pleasure finale, I thought it might be worth soft launching the interview concept, and I asked her what she loves about TV. The audio quality isn't as great as what we'll do with future guests, but the conversation is excellent — and timed oddly well to something else Kathryn and I wanted to talk about t.

Next week, we'll be all about the prequels, with discussions of Prime Video's Legally Blonde prequel, a look back at the impossible miracle of NBC's Hannibal, and a broader conversation about what does and doesn't work when you're journeying back to before a famous film or TV story began. You don't need to have seen any Hannibal to follow that conversation, but all three seasons are streaming on Prime if you want to feel both very, very hungry and very, very disgusted with yourself.
